On 13 June 2023, H.E. Kallayana Vipattipumiprates, Ambassador of Thailand to Canada joined the 2nd Thailand-Canada Bilateral Consultations at Global Affairs Canada, co-chaired by H.E. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and H.E. Weldon Epp, Assistant Deputy Minister, Indo Pacific, Global Affairs Canada.

During the meeting, both parties had a fruitful and candid conversation on ways to push forward the positive momentum following the visit of the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, to attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Thailand during 16-18 November 2022, especially in the areas of mutual interest such as cooperation on trade and investment, education, science technology and innovation (STI), tourism, as well as climate change and clean energy. Thailand looks forward to hosting the 3rd Bilateral Consultations in Thailand in 2024.
