On 11 June 2018, His Excellency Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Ambassador of Thailand to Canada, hosted a dinner retreat in honour of Mr. Ian Burchett, Director General, Southeast Asia Bureau, Global Affairs Canada, and officials of the Southeast Asia Bureau at the Thai Residence. On this occasion, the Ambassador and Director General Burchett took the opportunity to discuss ways to collaborate and strengthen bilateral ties between Thailand and Canada in various levels which are government to government, business to business, and people to people relations.
