On 15 May 2018, Ambassador Maris Sangiampongsa paid a courtesy call on His Worship Jim Watson, Mayor of the City of Ottawa. Both sides discussed potential areas of cooperation between Thailand and Canada / the City of Ottawa including trade, investment, science & technology, and education.
