On 30 April 2018, Ambassador Maris Sangiampongsa and Director General Sarun Charoensuwan of American and South Pacific Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, met with Director General Ian Burchett of Global Affairs Canada to discuss how to further step up the level of cooperation between Thailand and Canada.

 

On 8 May 2018, Ambassador Maris met with The Honourable Mark Eyking, Member of Parliament and Chair of the Standing Committee on International Trade, to discuss potential areas of cooperation between Thailand and Canada, particularly on trade, investment, and education.
