In February 2023, H.E. Ambassador Kallayana Vipattipumiprates, as a member of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa’s Heads of Mission (ACO HOM), participated in the group’s discussions with senior officials from Global Affairs Canada (Weldon Epp, Assistant Deputy Minister for Asia Pacific, and Carrie Goodge O’Brien, DG for Southeast Asia and Oceania) as well as with representatives from the Business Council of Canada (Goldy Hyder, President & CEO, and Trevor Kennedy, VP for Trade & International Policy) to discuss ways to deepen and expand ASEAN-Canada relations.
