H.E. Kallayana Vipattipumiprates, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Jamaica (with residence in Ottawa) participated in the Diplomatic Week 2023 in Kingston, Jamaica, between 27 February – 3 March 2023. During his stay in Kingston, the Ambassador attended the Diplomatic State Dinner hosted by their Excellencies the Governor-General of Jamaica, the Most Honourable Sir Patrick Allen and the Most Honourable Lady Allen, participated in the ministerial briefings led by the Most Honourable Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica, and paid courtesy calls on Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator the Honourable Leslie Campbell, State Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, the Honourable Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Tourism, and the Honourable Fayval Williams, Minister of Education and Youth, to discuss ways to enhance relations and cooperation in various areas, including academic and technical cooperation. Moreover, the Ambassador hosted dinner for the Jamaican high-level public and private representatives, and visited the Global Tourism Resilience & Crisis Management Centre at the University of the West Indies as invited by the Minister of Tourism of Jamaica. The Ambassador met with Thai nationals in Jamaica and learned that they are all well.
