On 11 October 2023, H.E. Kallayana Vipattipumiprates, Ambassador of Thailand to Canada, attended a seminar on “Deepening CANADA-ASEAN Economic Relations in the Context of ASEAN-CANADA Strategic Partnership", co-organized by the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO) and the York Centre for Asian Research (YCAR).  Participants at the seminar discussed ways to enhance the economic relations between ASEAN and Canada after the elevation of the ASEAN-Canada relations to strategic partnership in September 2023.  Attendees also included senior officials from the Canadian government, Canadian private sector and academics, as well as members of the diplomatic corps.
