On 1 June 2018, Ambassador Maris Sangiampongsa presided over a Team Thailand meeting which was held at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington D.C.

Ambassador Maris discussed with heads of Team Thailand offices on how to further promote and deepen bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Canada in all major areas, including political, economic, and social relations as well as people-people ties.
