On 29 August 2025, H.E. Kallayana Vipattipumiprates, Ambassador of Thailand to Canada, visited and attended the “Muay Thai: Summer Youth Camp 2025” and presented certificates to participating Thai and Canadian youth of the programme.

This activity was a collaboration between the Royal Thai Embassy in Ottawa and the N1 Thai boxing academy.  The Summer Muay Thai camp was organized for youth aged 13-17 and was divided into two sessions.  The first session took place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, from 21 July 2025 - 8 August 2025, with 11 participants. And the second session was held from 11 August 2025 – 29 August 2025 with 13 participants.

It is strongly hoped that promoting Muay Thai to youth in Canada will provide an opportunity to instill a correct and authentic understanding of the sport.  This knowledge can be applied both competitively as a sport and as a form of self-defence.

Additionally, Muay Thai helps develop physical potential and mental well-being, while also building motivation and inspiration for young people to continue sharing this unique aspect of Thai culture.
