On 8 August 2023, the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO) hosted the ASEAN Day 2023 Reception to commemorate the 56th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN.

H.E. Cindy Termorshuizen, Associate Deputy Minister, Global Affairs Canada, delivered a speech as the Guest of Honour. Many senior officials from Global Affairs Canada and other Canadian government agencies, private sector, as well as members of the diplomatic corps were also in attendance.
