On Sunday, 7 July 2019, the Royal Thai Embassy in Ottawa organized the 3rd Amazing Thailand festival at the Horticulture Building, Lansdowne Park to promote and showcase Thai culture in all aspects including tourism, trade and investment, agriculture, and science & innovation.
During the opening ceremony, H.E. Mr. Maris, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Canada, gave welcoming remarks, as well as highlighting the significance of this festival. Among the many distinguished guests in attendance at the festival were Hon. Chandra Arya, M.P., heads of diplomatic missions, members of the diplomatic corps, the friends of Thailand, and members of the Thai and Canadian communities and tourists.
Throughout the day, visitors were able to experience various aspects of Thai culture through live cultural performances by the Thai Dance Troupe of Ottawa and the N-1 Thai Boxing Academy, authentic Thai cuisine from local Thai restaurants, Thai handicrafts from local Thai businesses, and cultural showcases by the Thai Association of Ottawa, and Congrès des bénévoles Thaïlandais du Québec.
The festival was also held in collaboration with Team Thailand in Canada, which provided information on Thai tourism, trade, investment, agriculture and science and innovation. Approximately 5,000 visitors from all walks of life came to enjoy the festival.
