On 20 May 2018, Ambassador Maris Sangiampongsa along with his family, officials, and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy attended the Vesak Day ceremony at Tisarana Buddhist Monastery which was presided over by Ajahn Viradhammo, the Abbot. During the ceremony, Phra Videsabuddhiguna (Amaro Bhikkhu), Abbot of Amaravati Monastery, United Kingdom, kindly offered a Dhamma talk to commemorate the birth, enlightenment and, passing away of the Buddha. On this special occasion, devoted Buddhists also had an opportunity to give alms and offer dana meal to the Sangha, including participating in a Question & Answer session to apply the teaching of the Buddha in daily lives.
