Bangkok, 11 March, 2020, at 09.00 Hrs. – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to provide the two important forms for travellers to Thailand from the Disease Infected Zones of the Coronavirus Diseased 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak.

These forms are necessary following the Royal Thai Government’s announcement on 5 March, 2020, declaring South Korea, Italy, Iran and China (including Hong Kong and Macau) as Disease Infected Zones.

In line with the Royal Thai Government’s announcement, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) on 8 March, 2020, issued guidelines that include requirements for travellers from the Disease Infected Zones to present a health certificate clarifying “no risk of COVID-19” prior to boarding pass issuance. In addition, travellers must complete the T8 form and submit it to the communicable disease control officials at the control post at the airport of disembarkation.

Thai Airways International (THAI) has also announced a new requirement that reflects the CAAT’s announcement. The airline’s passengers from Seoul, Pusan, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau, Rome and Milan are required to present a health certificate clarifying “no risk of COVID-19” prior to boarding pass issuance, and to complete the T8 form issued under Thailand’s Communicable Disease Act 2015 and present to the Disease Control Officers at the quarantine office in their destination airports in Thailand.
