เมื่อวันที่ 16 เมษายน 2569 นายดามพ์ บุญธรรม เอกอัครราชทูต ได้ยื่นพระราชสาส์นตราตั้งต่อ ฯพณฯ แมรี เมย์ ไซมอน ผู้สำเร็จราชการและผู้บัญชาการทหารสูงสุดแห่งแคนาดา ณ Rideau Hall ทำเนียบผู้สำเร็จราชการ กรุงออตตาวา เพื่อดำรงตำแหน่งเอกอัครราชทูตวิสามัญผู้มีอำนาจเต็มแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทยประจำแคนาดา
ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตได้ยืนยันความมุ่งมั่นที่จะกระชับความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคีระหว่างไทยกับแคนาดาให้ใกล้ชิดยิ่งขึ้น โดยเฉพาะการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านเศรษฐกิจ พลังงาน วัฒนธรรมและการเชื่อมโยงระหว่างประชาชน ทั้งนี้ ในปี 2569 เป็นโอกาสแห่งการครบรอบ 65 ปี แห่งความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างทั้งสองประเทศ
On 16 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Darm Boontham, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, presented his Letters of Credence to Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary May Simon, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, at Rideau Hall, upon assuming his duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Canada.
On this occasion, the Ambassador reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthening the longstanding bilateral relations between Thailand and Canada. Particular emphasis was placed on enhancing cooperation in key areas, including trade and investment, energy, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people connectivity. The year 2026 marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Canada, providing an opportunity to further strengthen mutual cooperation and partnerships.
Le 16 avril 2026, S.E. M. Darm Boontham, Ambassadeur du Royaume de Thaïlande, a présenté ses lettres de créance à Son Excellence la très honorable Mary May Simon, gouverneure générale et commandante en chef du Canada, à Rideau Hall, à l’occasion de sa prise de fonctions en qualité d’Ambassadeur extraordinaire et plénipotentiaire du Royaume de Thaïlande au Canada.
À cette occasion, l’Ambassadeur a réaffirmé son engagement à renforcer davantage les relations bilatérales étroites et de longue date entre la Thaïlande et le Canada. Une attention particulière a été accordée au renforcement de la coopération dans des domaines clés, notamment le commerce et l’investissement, l’énergie, les échanges culturels ainsi que les liens entre les peuples.
L’année 2026 marque le 65e anniversaire des relations diplomatiques entre la Thaïlande et le Canada, offrant une occasion de renforcer davantage la coopération et les partenariats mutuels.
